Pair with the sibling Exa Search endpoint when you first need to discover URLs before fetching their content.
Side effects
- URL is paywalled or requires login — returns empty or partial content
- URL returns a 404 or is unreachable — endpoint returns an error for that URL
- Page is JavaScript-rendered and content cannot be extracted statically
- Rate limits exceeded — returns a rate limit error
- Invalid URL format — returns a validation error
