How this service works
Change watch for extract images as json: runs the check, compares it with the result from your previous call for the same url (kept 90 days) and returns the current answer, changed true/false, the fields that changed with before/after values, and when it was last seen. It is ideal for scheduled monitoring workflows where you want diff-style before/after reporting, not just the current snapshot. Prefer it over a plain image extraction endpoint when historical comparison and change alerting are the primary goal.
Side effects
- Target URL is unreachable or returns an error — check may fail or return incomplete image data
- No previous snapshot exists (first call) — changed flag may default to false or null
- Page returns dynamic/JavaScript-rendered content that the fetcher cannot process — images may be missing
- Rate limits or payment failures ($0.02 USDC per call) may prevent the check from running
- Stored snapshot is older than 90 days and has been purged — comparison baseline lost
