How this service works

API and MCP servers that let AI agents and apps check people, companies, Dutch addresses and cars against official records: sanctions and PEP lists, 10 company registers, Dutch property, rent and RDW vehicle data. From $0.001 per call.

Output

Returns whether the queried individual matches any PEP records, including their matched name, political positions held, associated countries, date ranges in office, whether they are current or former PEPs, and a fuzzy match confidence score. Results respect the configurable recency window (default 5 years after leaving office).

Example use cases

Onboarding compliance check for a new client

“Before we onboard this new client, can you screen Antonio Costa — I think he's Portuguese — for PEP status? He may have left office recently, so check the past 5 years.”

KYC check on a suspected government official

“I need to verify whether Christine Lagarde is flagged as a politically exposed person for our KYC process. Can you run a PEP screen on her with country set to FR?”

AML review of a foreign investor

“We have an investor named Volodymyr Zelensky from Ukraine, born in 1978 — can you check if he's classified as a PEP for our AML review?”

When to prefer

Choose this endpoint when you need AML/KYC-compliant PEP screening against a structured, curated database covering EU, EEA, UK, US, and Switzerland officials, with fuzzy name matching and configurable recency. Prefer it over general web search for compliance workflows requiring structured, auditable PEP results. Pairs well with sanctions screening for full AML due diligence pipelines.

Side effects

Name not found — returns empty match list if no PEP record found for the given name
Ambiguous name match — multiple candidates returned when name is common; birth year or country narrows results
Invalid years parameter — value outside 1–10 range rejected
Invalid ISO country code — malformed country string may produce no country-filtered results
Network timeout — upstream data source temporarily unavailable
