Search current U.S. Grants.gov opportunities by default, or set source=eu to search English EU Funding & Tenders topics with SEDIA status 31094502. Inputs are source, query, agency, statuses, limit, closing_within_days, and minimum_award_ceiling. Receive up to 20 normalized JSON records with title, agency, status, open and close dates, award amounts, eligibility, funding fields, and official_url.
Output
Returns a JSON array of up to 20 grant opportunities from Grants.gov, each containing: title, agency name and code, grant status, open and close dates, days remaining until deadline, eligibility types, award floor and ceiling in USD, expected number of awards, opportunity ID, and a direct official URL to the grant listing.

Side effects
- No matching grants found for query — returns empty results array
- Invalid agency code returns empty or unfiltered results
- closing_within_days set to 0 may yield no results if no grants close today
- minimum_award_ceiling filter too high may return zero results
- Grants.gov data may have a slight delay; very newly posted grants may not appear
- Malformed query string may return unrelated results
- Service may return HTTP 402 if payment is not completed via x402 protocol
