Use this endpoint when you need to cryptographically confirm that a Focxle proof-of-work receipt was genuinely issued and signed by the platform — especially before releasing payment, accepting work, or logging compliance evidence. Prefer this over generic blockchain lookups because it also decodes the attestation payload and ties it to the Focxle agent reputation system.
Side effects
- Receipt ID not found — returns an error indicating the receipt does not exist
- Invalid or tampered receipt — verification fails and the response indicates signature mismatch
- No on-chain settlement yet — receipt may be verified but settlement transaction field is absent or null
- Malformed receipt_id parameter — returns a validation error
- Rate limiting or payment failure — call may be rejected if x402 payment is not honoured
