Use this endpoint when you specifically want to browse or discover public-domain books in the NC (Art, Decoration, Design, Illustration) Dewey category on ForgeMesh Library. Prefer it over the full-text search endpoint when you want a curated shelf overview rather than passage-level retrieval, and over other shelf endpoints when the user's interest is art, drawing, caricature, or decoration rather than history, economics, or children's literature.
Side effects
- Limit exceeds maximum of 50 — API may return an error or clamp to 50
- No results returned if the shelf is temporarily unavailable
- Payment failure (x402) if the 0.003 USDC fee is not processed correctly
- Invalid input type for limit field (e.g. string instead of integer) causing a 400 error
