Side effects
- Unknown chain or protocol slug returns an error or null TVL
- DefiLlama upstream API unavailable causes fetch failure
- Misspelled protocol name (e.g. 'aav' instead of 'aave') may return no results
- Very new or obscure protocols may not be tracked by DefiLlama
- Rate limiting or payment failure returns 402 status
