Hallucination Detection API – Extract Claims

Choose this endpoint when you need to decompose unstructured text into discrete, verifiable factual statements as a preprocessing step — particularly before running hallucination verification or fact-checking workflows. It is the first stage in the sibling full-pipeline endpoint and is best used when you want granular claim-level control rather than an end-to-end score.

• Empty or very short input text may yield no claims
• Highly opinionated or non-factual text (pure opinions, poetry) may return empty or low-quality claims
• Malformed POST body returns an error
• Rate limiting or payment failure via x402 protocol causes 402 Payment Required response
• Very long documents may be truncated or time out
