HALOWERK Eastern Land – Hungary Terrain Ruggedness Index

Use this endpoint when you need elevation variability or terrain ruggedness specifically for a point location within Hungary, particularly when boundary validation before billing is important. Prefer this over generic DEM or elevation APIs when you want a pre-computed ruggedness index (standard deviation of elevations) rather than raw elevation values, and when the Hungary-specific Natural Earth boundary validation is a useful safeguard.

• Coordinate outside Hungary boundary — rejected before payment with a validation error
• Latitude or longitude outside the published European coverage range (lat 34–72.5, lon -31.5–40.5) — schema validation error
• Invalid or missing latitude/longitude fields — request rejected with input error
• Network or service timeout — no result returned
• Payment failure via x402 protocol — call not executed
