Sohal 2007 HARK: four caller-assigned yes/no flags (humiliation, afraid, rape, kick), 1 point each, max 4. Screen-positive when score ≥1 (ROC-optimal cut-off in Sohal 2007). Deterministic published score with citation; not a diagnosis of intimate partner violence and not a medical device. magent does not interview the patient. Not HITS 1-5 scoring. Not the AAS pregnancy item (HARK removed it).

Use this endpoint when you need a deterministic, published-algorithm HARK score (Sohal 2007) from four pre-collected boolean responses. Prefer this over manual calculation when integrating IPV screening into clinical workflows, EHR systems, or research pipelines. Not suitable for patient-facing interview tools, pregnancy-specific AAS scoring, or HITS 1–5 scoring.
Side effects
- Missing required boolean parameter (humiliation, afraid, rape, or kick) returns a 400 validation error
- Non-boolean values for flag parameters cause schema validation failure
- Payment failure (x402) if USDC not provided results in 402 response
