Use this endpoint when you need to verify that a live x402 endpoint is correctly issuing and handling payment challenges through the actual facilitator flow, not just configuration checks. Choose this over static config validators when you want ground-truth evidence that the facilitator responds correctly, payments aren't silently dropped, lint issues are caught, and the endpoint is discoverable — especially as a CI/CD gate after deploys.
