How this service works
Is the domain's email hosted by yahoo mail? Looks up the MX records (Cloudflare DoH) and matches them against yahoo-mail's mail-exchanger patterns, returning yes/no, the MX hosts and which matched. Provider detection for deliverability, sales and migration work. $0.01 per lookup.
Output
Returns a yes/no answer indicating whether the domain's email is hosted by Yahoo Mail, along with the full list of discovered MX hosts and which specific hosts matched Yahoo Mail's mail-exchanger patterns.
Example use cases
Pre-sales email provider research
“Before we reach out to acme.com, can you check if their email is hosted by Yahoo Mail? I want to tailor our pitch based on what email platform they use.”
Email migration validation
“We just migrated clientdomain.com away from Yahoo Mail — can you confirm whether the MX records still show Yahoo Mail or if the migration went through?”
Deliverability pre-flight check
“I'm about to send a bulk campaign to a list of domains — can you check if techcorp.io is on Yahoo Mail so I can apply the right deliverability settings for Yahoo?”

Endpoint
GEThttps://email.intel.rallylive.ca/email/hosted-by/yahoo-mail?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Use this endpoint when you specifically need to detect Yahoo Mail as the email hosting provider for a given domain, particularly for deliverability optimization, pre-sales intelligence, or email migration workflows. Prefer this over generic MX lookup tools when you need an authoritative yes/no answer matched against Yahoo Mail's known patterns rather than raw DNS data.
Side effects
- Domain has no MX records — returns no match with empty MX host list
- DNS lookup failure via Cloudflare DoH — may return error or inconclusive result
- Domain does not exist — lookup fails with error
- Yahoo Mail pattern list out of date — false negative if Yahoo changes MX hostnames
- Missing or malformed domain query parameter — returns validation error
