Prefer this over the search endpoint when you want to audit or cite a specific known event rather than discover new ones.
Side effects
- Invalid or malformed eventId pattern returns a 400 or 404 error
- Event ID does not exist in the system returns a not-found response
- Snapshot hash mismatch may indicate stale or tampered content flagged in verification status
- Freshness field returns 'stale' if the underlying source document has been superseded
