Use this endpoint when your AI agent needs to read durable, previously stored JSON state identified by a namespace and key — especially in multi-step workflows, session resumption, or personalization scenarios where state was written to Kiln Memory. Prefer over generic KV stores when TTL-scoped namespaces and per-call micropayment billing fit your architecture.
Side effects
- Key not found – returns 404 if the document does not exist under the given ns/key combination
- Namespace not found – returns 404 or error if the namespace has not been created
- TTL expiry – document may have been deleted after its time-to-live elapsed
- Authentication/payment failure – x402 payment of $0.01 USDC not accepted, returning 402
- Malformed parameters – missing ns or key query params returns a 400 error
