Use this endpoint when an AI agent needs to ground its responses with current, real-world web data — especially for time-sensitive queries, recent events, or factual verification. Prefer this over static knowledge bases when freshness matters. Choose the /fetch endpoint instead if you already have a specific URL and need its full page content rather than a ranked list of results.

• Empty or vague query returns no results
• Rate limit exceeded returns error response
• Network timeout for slow-to-index or obscure queries
• Query in unsupported language may return poor results
• Very recent events (last few minutes) may not yet be indexed
