How this service works
Census LODES workplace jobs and broad industry sectors within a radius. Perfect for: commercial site selection, tenant diligence, daytime employment, and labor context near a selected site. Returns annual block-level aggregates only; excludes worker demographics. Jobs are not shoppers, visits, foot traffic, sales, demand, or a forecast. Charge-free when the state snapshot is missing, stale, unavailable, or no workplace block falls in the radius.
Output
Annual block-level aggregate job counts for all workplace blocks falling within the specified radius, broken down by Census LODES industry sector codes (CNS01–CNS20). Excludes worker demographics and home-to-work flows. Returns no charge and no data if the state snapshot is missing, stale, or unavailable, or if no workplace blocks exist in the radius.

Prefer it over foot traffic or visit data when you need actual job counts by industry rather than consumer activity estimates. It is not suitable for foot traffic, retail demand forecasting, consumer demographics, or non-workplace residential population counts.
Side effects
- No workplace census blocks found within the specified radius — returns empty or charge-free result
- State LODES snapshot missing or stale — endpoint returns no data and does not charge
