Use this endpoint when you need a pure, stateless lot-rounding computation that respects a broker's step increment and explicitly signals constraint violations without silently clamping values. Prefer it over general-purpose rounding utilities when broker-specific step semantics, minimum/maximum flagging (without auto-correction), and financial trading precision are required.
Side effects
- Invalid step size (zero or negative) causes validation error
- Lots value outside allowed range (0 to 1e12) returns error
- Missing required fields returns schema validation error
- Step size larger than lots value may produce zero after floor rounding
- Constraint flags returned but caller must handle clamping logic themselves
