Prefer it over raw HTML fetchers when downstream tasks benefit from Markdown (LLM summarization, note-taking, document parsing). Not ideal for JavaScript-heavy single-page apps where server-side rendering is required.
Side effects
- URL is unreachable or returns a non-200 status (status field will reflect the HTTP error code)
- Page uses heavy JavaScript rendering that the fetcher cannot execute, resulting in minimal or empty markdown
- Content is truncated for very long pages (truncated: true in response)
- Payment fails or insufficient USDC balance, resulting in 402 rejection before the request is processed
- Invalid or malformed URL input causes a request error
