Use this endpoint when you need to compute the validated Bellera 2012 G8 geriatric oncology screening score and the caller has already assessed the patient and assigned each of the eight categorical inputs. Prefer this over manual calculation to avoid arithmetic errors and to get a structured impaired-screen flag. Do not use this as a substitute for a full Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, the Soubeyran 2014 ONCODAGE tool, or VES-13; those are distinct instruments.
Side effects
- Missing required query parameters (food_intake, weight_loss, mobility, neuropsychological, bmi, more_than_3_medications, health_vs_peers, age_band) returns a 4xx validation error
- Invalid enum values for any parameter return a validation error
- Caller supplies a numeric age or raw BMI value instead of the required band string — endpoint cannot convert these
- Half-point for health_vs_peers 'unknown' value must be passed correctly as the string 'unknown'; rounding it to 0 or 1 will produce an incorrect score
