How this service works
Cuker 2010 HEP score: eight features with signed weights (range -16 to 19). Magnitude of platelet fall, typical- or rapid-onset timing, nadir, thrombosis (at most one), SQ heparin skin necrosis, IV-bolus systemic reaction, bleeding, and other causes (select all; no other cause +3). Cutoff 2 was 100% sensitive / 60% specific vs the expert panel. Not a HIT diagnosis or 4Ts score. magent does not assay SRA or ELISA.
Output
Returns an integer HEP score (range -16 to 19) along with per-feature signed weight contributions. A score ≥2 meets the cutoff associated with 100% sensitivity and ~60% specificity against expert panel diagnosis. The result is a pre-test probability stratifier, not a HIT diagnosis; it does not include SRA or ELISA results.

Use this endpoint when you need to compute the Cuker 2010 HEP score specifically — an eight-feature weighted model distinct from the 4Ts score. Prefer it over manual lookup when integrating clinical decision support into an automated workflow, EHR pipeline, or agent that has already extracted the required clinical features. Not appropriate as a substitute for SRA/ELISA laboratory testing or as a standalone HIT diagnosis.
Side effects
- Missing required query parameters (magnitude, timing, nadir, thrombosis, etc.) returns a 400 error
- Invalid enum values for magnitude, timing, or nadir return a validation error
