JSON object with top-level symbol, a coverage array listing which venue/product pairs are included, and nested spot/perps objects. The perps block contains aggregate openInterestLongUsd, openInterestShortUsd, longSharePercent, openInterestChange24hPercent, a positioning label (e.g. BALANCED), and a venues array where each entry shows the venue name, market, which side pays funding, per-venue open interest, and the annualized funding rate.

Use this endpoint when you need a consolidated cross-venue view of who is long vs short (and by how much) for a specific symbol, including funding rate dynamics. Prefer it over general candle or signal endpoints when the specific question is about positioning imbalance, crowded trades, or funding cost — not price direction or trade timing verdicts.
Side effects
- Symbol not found or unsupported — likely returns null spot/perps data or an error object
- No coverage for requested symbol on any venue — coverage array will be empty
- 402 Payment Required if x402 payment header is missing or malformed
- Rate limiting or upstream venue data unavailability causing stale or partial results
- Invalid path parameter format causing 400 or 404 response
