Prefer this over a web search endpoint when you already know the exact URL and want its content rather than a list of search results. For multi-page crawls, prefer the site crawl sibling endpoint.
Side effects
- Invalid or malformed URL returns an error
- Page behind authentication or a paywall may return empty or partial content
- URL that returns non-HTML content (e.g. PDF, binary) may not extract readable text
- Timeout if the target URL is slow or unreachable
- Rate limiting if too many requests are made in quick succession
