A list of trending tokens currently most talked about and traded across centralized and decentralized exchanges, optionally filtered by chain. When memecoins are included, results also contain GMGN trending memecoins and recently graduated Pump.fun tokens.

Use this endpoint when you need real-time trending token data aggregated across both CEXs and DEXs. Prefer this over Twitter-trending-token endpoints when you want trade-volume-backed trends rather than purely social signal. Choose this when the user asks about what's hot in crypto markets broadly, or on a specific chain.
Side effects
- Invalid chain name returns empty or error response
- Network timeout if upstream data sources are slow
- Empty results if no trending data is available for the specified chain
- Incorrect chain string yields no matching tokens
