How this service works
Memory that belongs to the user and follows them across agents. The agent pays per call (x402); the user authorizes the agent once: POST /v1/memory/delegate/challenge {user, agent} returns text the user signs (EIP-191), then POST /v1/memory/delegate {..., signature} returns a bearer token. Send Authorization: Bearer mn_... on every memory call. Start a session with GET /v1/memory/profile, write with POST /v1/memory/remember, retrieve with POST /v1/memory/recall (hybrid vector + keyword). When the user contradicts a memory, POST /v1/memory/conflict supersedes it with history kept. Tier B stores client-side ciphertext the server cannot read. Export and forget are always free.

A JSON object containing the user's preferences array, how_to_talk_to_me string describing preferred communication style, standing_instructions array of persistent directives, and clarification_tolerance float (0–1) indicating how often the agent should ask clarifying questions before acting.

Use this endpoint at the start of any agent session when you need to load a user's persistent preferences, communication style, and standing instructions that travel with them across different agents. Prefer this over storing context locally when the user expects their preferences to follow them between agent switches. This is the right call when you want a holistic snapshot of the user's profile rather than recalling a specific memory by query.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid bearer token returns 401 unauthorized
- Expired or revoked delegation token returns 403 forbidden
- User has no memory profile yet — returns empty arrays and default values
- fresh=true cache-rebuild times out under high load
- x402 payment failure if the agent's wallet has insufficient USDC balance
