How this service works
Newsom 2014 modified Rothrock rule for chest radiography in nontraumatic emergency chest pain. CXR indicated if any of: age ≥65 years, history of congestive heart failure, history of alcohol abuse, decreased breath sounds, fever, or tachypnea. Does not include hypoxia, rales, hemoptysis, tuberculosis, or thromboembolic disease (removed in 2014). Not the 2018 prospective refinement. Caller assigns age and five flags. magent does not examine the patient or read a radiograph. Not a diagnosis.
