How this service works
Live news search for AI agents: up to 20 recent articles for any query with headline, publisher, publish time, snippet and direct article link, newest first, de-duplicated. Filter by how many days back (1-30) and language/region (en-us, de-de, ...). Sources: Bing News, with Google News and GDELT as backups. No results, no charge.
Output
A JSON object containing the original query, days/lang/count parameters used, a list of up to 20 article objects (each with url, title, source, snippet, and published_at timestamp in ISO 8601), and a sources_used array indicating which news backends (bing, google, gdelt) were queried. Results are sorted newest-first and de-duplicated. If no articles match, no charge is incurred.

Choose this endpoint when you need live, recent news articles (up to 30 days back) with multi-source fallback (Bing → Google → GDELT) and built-in de-duplication. It is particularly well-suited for AI agent pipelines that require structured news metadata (headline, snippet, timestamp, source, URL) in a single call, support multilingual/regional filtering, and benefit from a pay-per-result model where no results means no charge. Prefer it over general web search when you specifically want news articles rather than arbitrary web pages, and over static datasets when freshness within hours matters.
Side effects
- No results found for obscure or very narrow queries — returns empty results array with no charge
- Query exceeds 300 characters — rejected with validation error
- days parameter outside 1-30 range — rejected with validation error
- count parameter outside 1-20 range — rejected with validation error
- Upstream news providers temporarily unavailable — may return partial results or empty set
- Unsupported lang/region code — may fall back to default or return error
- Payment failure via x402 protocol — request not processed
