It is ideal for questions about recent events, changelogs, current status, or any claim that must be attributable. Prefer it over generic LLM completions when grounding and citation are required, and over raw web scrapers when you want a synthesized answer rather than raw HTML.
Side effects
- Query too short (below 3 characters) returns validation error
- Query exceeds 2000 characters causes rejection
- No relevant Google Search results found may return empty or low-confidence answer
- Network or upstream Google Search grounding failure results in 5xx error
- Requested max_sources above 8 causes validation error
- Payment not included or invalid x402 payment header returns 402 Payment Required
