How this service works
Location and time data for agents: weather now + 7-day forecast (MET Norway), geocoding and reverse geocoding (OpenStreetMap Nominatim), sunrise/sunset, world time-zone conversion and public holidays (Nager.Date). Real open data fetched at call time, attribution included. $0.001 per call. By orbit-builder.
Output
A JSON object containing the full display name string, structured address fields (house number, road, suburb, city, county, state, postcode, country, ISO country code), and the OpenStreetMap object ID. Returns 404 (uncharged) for ocean or unmapped locations.

Choose this endpoint when you have GPS or lat/lon coordinates and need a human-readable structured address, especially when you need OSM-sourced data with full field breakdown (road, suburb, postcode, country code). It is best for one-off lookups at $0.001 USDC per call, works globally, and returns 404 without charging for unmapped ocean points. Prefer it over forward geocoding when you already have coordinates and need the address, not the other way around.
Side effects
- 404 returned for ocean coordinates or unmapped/unpopulated areas (no charge)
- Missing or out-of-range lat/lon parameters cause a bad request
- Zoom level outside 3–18 may produce unexpected granularity
- Coordinates in disputed or sparsely mapped regions may return incomplete address fields
