How this service works
An open index of the machine-to-machine (agent) economy. x402 routes: ranked discovery over the live x402 service market, every indexed service scored by real 30-day calls and paying-wallet bounds, with a receipt naming the snapshot hash and scoring revision. /economy routes, for Tempo MPP, Virtuals ACP, Olas, Masumi, ERC-8004 agent registries, Solana agent registries, Base agent contracts and MCP servers (Official MCP Registry): each protocol's published figures (agent or server counts, transactions or payment events; payers and USD volume only where the source publishes them: payers for x402 and Tempo MPP, USD volume for x402 and Virtuals ACP), each with its unit, window and source; units differ, so totals are not summed. L402 and per-service MPP listings are not covered.
Output
A JSON object containing: an echo of your request (method, path, query params, body hash), a test_receipt object with payment rail, settlement status, payer wallet address, transaction hash, network CAIP identifier, facilitator name, USDC amount in base units and USD, and settled_at timestamp. Also includes service version, server time, and a note explaining the endpoint's purpose. Body content is hashed but never stored or returned.

Use this endpoint when you need to verify that an x402 micropayment client, wallet, or agent payment pipeline is correctly configured and can settle a real $0.001 USDC transaction on Base. It is the canonical smoke-test for x402 integrations. Prefer it over mocked or simulated tests because it produces a real on-chain settlement receipt with facilitator, payer, and transaction hash. Not suitable for fetching agent economy index data, service rankings, or protocol statistics — those are on the /economy and /x402/rank routes.
Side effects
- Payment not settled — if the x402 payment header is missing or malformed, the server returns 402 Payment Required
- Invalid rail — if the client proposes a payment rail not accepted by this endpoint, the request is rejected
- Body too large or malformed — query params over 500 chars may be truncated (query_truncated: true)
- Network mismatch — payment on wrong network (non-Base) will fail settlement
- Dry-run misuse — dry=1 returns accepted rails list only; expecting a receipt in dry-run mode will yield none
