Prefer this over one-shot scraping APIs when you need ongoing change detection rather than a single extraction, and over generic website change detectors when you need structured data types (price, table, list) rather than raw diff output.
Side effects
- URL is not a public HTTP/HTTPS page (private, localhost, or behind auth) — monitor creation fails
- Page uses JavaScript rendering — static HTML only, dynamic content will not be extracted correctly
- Invalid CSS selector returns empty extraction results
- Webhook URL is not reachable or returns non-2xx — notifications silently fail
