How this service works
Call before publishing a claim that cites EU law. Checks that the cited instrument exists in our pinned corpus, that the cited article exists within it, and whether your quoted text actually appears in that article. Covers the AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, DORA and the Cyber Resilience Act. Returns the official article text with a EUR-Lex link. Citation verification only: it never gives legal advice or classifies systems.

Side effects
- Instrument CELEX ID not found in pinned corpus — returns not-found status for that regulation
- Article number not present in the cited instrument — returns article-not-found
- Quote not found verbatim in the article text — returns quote-not-matched with the actual article text for comparison
- Invalid CELEX format fails schema validation before the request is processed
- Ambiguous article numbering (e.g. sub-articles) may cause lookup misses
