Use this endpoint when you need to explicitly delete a stored encrypted secret from Pyfile's dead drop system — either after retrieval, to revoke access, or to clean up secrets that should no longer be readable. Prefer this over letting secrets expire naturally when immediate destruction is required for security reasons.
Side effects
- Secret ID not found — already deleted or never existed, returns error or deleted: false
- Missing or malformed secret ID in request body — returns 400-level error
- Payment failure via x402 — call not executed if USDC/XNO payment is rejected
- Unauthorized request — missing or invalid payment header
- Network timeout on the Tailscale-hosted endpoint
