Prefer it over generic image generation services when you need a standards-compliant, scannable barcode rather than a decorative graphic. For QR codes specifically, use the sibling QR endpoint on the same provider.
Side effects
- Invalid or unsupported barcode value for the chosen symbology (e.g. non-numeric input for EAN-13) — returns validation error
