Prefer this over generic weather APIs when you need the official racecourse going descriptor (e.g. Good-to-Firm) rather than raw meteorological data, and over the full race-meeting briefing endpoint when you only need ground conditions without odds or news overhead.
Side effects
- Racecourse not in the 35-course coverage list — returns 404 or empty result
- Going data not yet published for today's card — returns stale or null condition
- Network timeout if the upstream racecourse data feed is delayed
- Invalid course identifier — returns 400 bad request
