Use this endpoint when an agent or user needs to pre-fund a RecallsAPI account before running recall checks, or when the account balance is low and recall monitoring is at risk of failing. This is the billing/payment entry point for the service — it must be called before SKU recall lookups if the balance is insufficient. Choose the $1 tier for testing, $5 for moderate usage, and $20 for bulk recall screening campaigns.
Side effects
- Invalid or unsupported amount — only $1.00, $5.00, and $20.00 are accepted enum values
- Payment failure or insufficient USDC — transaction hash not generated, balance unchanged
- Authentication failure — missing or invalid API credentials result in 401/403 error
- Network or blockchain confirmation timeout — transaction may be pending with no immediate credit token
- Duplicate rapid requests — may be rejected or queued to prevent double-billing
