Side effects
- Scanned or image-only PDFs with no embedded text layer will produce empty or poor diffs — OCR must be applied first
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be parsed and will return an error
- Very large PDFs may exceed page-count limits or increase cost significantly
- Formatting-only changes (fonts, colors, layout shifts) may not be captured if underlying text is identical
- Corrupted or malformed PDF files will return a parse error
