Returns a JSON object containing: a boolean success flag, a reuse readiness score (numeric), a plain-language summary, an evidence object with raw signals (license, stars, maintenance indicators), an array of strengths, an array of risk factors, a confidence level string, and an ISO-8601 timestamp of when the scan was generated.

Choose this endpoint when you need a single-call summary of a GitHub repository's license compliance, health, and reuse safety — especially during dependency evaluation, open source procurement, or legal due diligence workflows. It is preferable over raw GitHub API calls because it synthesizes multiple signals (license, stars, archival state, staleness, missing license) into a scored, human-readable result with risk flags, saving the agent multiple round trips and interpretation work.
Side effects
- Repository not found or URL malformed — scan returns ok:false with no result data
- Repository is private and inaccessible — handler may return ok:false or empty evidence
- Payment not processed — endpoint returns 402 Payment Required without result
- Rate limiting or GitHub API upstream failure — scan may time out or return partial evidence
- License file exists but is non-standard — may result in low confidence score rather than a clean license classification
