RSS and Atom Feed Reader — Keyword Search

Choose this endpoint when you need to find specific items within a known feed URL matching a keyword or phrase, rather than fetching all recent items or validating the feed structure. It is ideal for monitoring feeds for topic mentions, filtering large feeds by subject, or building alerting workflows around specific content. Use sibling endpoints if you need all recent items without filtering, feed metadata/stats, or podcast episode listings.

• Feed URL is unreachable or returns a non-200 HTTP status — no items returned, error status in response
• URL does not point to a valid RSS/Atom/RDF feed — parse error or format mismatch returned
• Keyword is fewer than 2 or more than 80 characters — validation error
• Limit parameter outside 1–50 range — validation error
• Feed is behind authentication or requires credentials — fetch fails
• No items match the keyword — empty items array with matchCount of 0
• Feed is malformed XML — degraded flag set, partial or no results
