Use this endpoint when a traveller needs to discover and compare prepaid eSIM data plans for a specific destination or globally, especially when budget, data amount, or trip duration constraints are known. Prefer it over individual plan purchase endpoints when the traveller hasn't yet chosen a plan. It requires no API key or account and supports payment via USDC on Base (x402) or card at the purchase step.
Side effects
- No plans found matching the filters — returns empty results list; agent should relax filters (lower min_data_amount_mb or raise max_price_cents)
- Invalid ISO country code — may return no results or an error; agent should verify the alpha-2 code
- Invalid currency code — may default to USD or return an error
- min_validity_days or min_data_amount_mb set too high — returns empty results; agent should prompt user to adjust constraints
- Network or service timeout — agent should retry the request
