Choose this endpoint when you need a real-time level-2 order book snapshot from Coinbase Exchange, including bid/ask ladders, spread, and mid price for a specific trading pair. It is ideal for agents that require current market microstructure data (not just a ticker price) and want it via a simple pay-per-call HTTP GET with no exchange API key required. Prefer alternatives if you need streaming/WebSocket order book updates, historical order book data, or order books from exchanges other than Coinbase.
Side effects
- Invalid or unsupported trading pair returns an error — only Coinbase product IDs (e.g. BTC-USD) are accepted
- Depth parameter out of range (must be 1–50) may return a validation error
- Coinbase Exchange API downtime or rate limiting may cause upstream failures
- Network timeout on the Cloudflare Worker may result in a 5xx error
