Side effects
- Invalid or malformed URL returns a validation error
- Non-public or firewalled URLs may timeout or return connection errors
- URLs with more than three redirects are truncated at three hops
- Non-HTTP/HTTPS schemes (e.g. ftp://) are rejected
- Very slow target servers may cause timeout failures
