SocialFetch Facebook Marketplace Location Search

Use this endpoint as a prerequisite step before searching Facebook Marketplace listings when you have only a human-readable city or place name and need the corresponding coordinates or location identifiers that the Marketplace listing search API requires. Prefer this over hardcoding coordinates or using a generic geocoding API because it resolves to Facebook's own internal location taxonomy.

• No matching location found for the query string — returns empty results or 404
• Ambiguous city name matches multiple locations — returns a list of candidates requiring disambiguation
• Query string too short or empty — returns validation error
• Rate limiting or payment failure — returns 402 or 429 error
• Facebook Marketplace location data unavailable or changed — returns stale or partial data
