How this service works
A paid sandbox for x402 clients. Pay $0.10 and receive your own settled payment back — payer address, amount, network and settlement transaction — so a test can assert your 402, sign, retry and settle loop works against a live facilitator. Scenario parameters exercise the failure paths for free: prove your max-price guard fires, that you abandon an expired quote, handle a rejected payment, and retry a failed settlement.
Output
A settled payment receipt containing the payer's wallet address, the amount paid, the network on which it settled, and the on-chain settlement transaction hash. For failure scenario parameters (price, underpaid, expired, settle_fail), the response instead returns the corresponding error condition so the client can assert its handling logic. No charge is incurred for simulated failure paths.

Use this endpoint when you are building or testing an x402 payment client and need to verify your full 402-detect, sign, retry, and settlement loop against a live facilitator with real USDC on Base. It is the right choice when you need a settled receipt to assert against in an integration test, or when you want to exercise specific failure modes (max-price guard, expired quotes, underpaid, settlement failure) in a controlled way without needing to construct a mock server yourself.
