How this service works
Current USD price and deviation from the $1 peg for USDT, USDC, DAI, FDUSD and PYUSD (CoinGecko public price data). Flags MICRO_DEPEG at 0.15% or more and DEPEG at 1% or more. A single snapshot of CoinGecko's aggregate price: no per-pool Curve imbalance and no redemption-liquidity data.
Output
Returns a JSON array of stablecoin entries, each containing: coin ticker (e.g. USDT), CoinGecko coin ID, current USD price, deviation percentage from $1, a flag (PEGGED, MICRO_DEPEG at ≥0.15%, or DEPEG at ≥1%), and the price timestamp. Also includes the CoinGecko source URL and the snapshot timestamp. A note clarifies this is an aggregate price snapshot, not a per-pool or redemption-liquidity check.

Use this endpoint when you need a fast, low-cost aggregate price snapshot to detect stablecoin depeg events across USDT, USDC, DAI, FDUSD, and PYUSD. Prefer this over on-chain oracles or Curve pool checks when you need a broad market-price view rather than per-pool liquidity analysis. Not suitable when you need redemption-liquidity depth, on-chain Curve imbalance data, or per-DEX pool pricing.
Side effects
- CoinGecko API rate limit or outage — endpoint may return error or stale data
- Invalid coin ID in the coins parameter — unrecognized IDs may be silently omitted or cause a 400 error
- Network timeout to CoinGecko upstream — snapshot may be unavailable
- Payment failure (402) if x402 USDC payment of $0.002 is not included or rejected
