Side effects
- Unsupported or unrecognized unit strings return an error — units must match expected identifiers (e.g. 'km', 'lb', '°C')
- Incompatible unit types (e.g. converting kg to km) return a validation error
- Missing required query parameters (value, from_unit, to_unit) result in a 400 bad request
- Non-numeric value parameter causes a schema validation error
