Prefer this over manual calculation when the number of subnets is large or when you need a machine-readable list for automation pipelines.
Side effects
- Target prefix is smaller than (or equal to) the source prefix — returns error
- Invalid CIDR notation in input — returns error
- Split would produce more than 256 subnets — list truncated or error returned
- Missing required query parameters — returns bad request
- Payment not included or insufficient — 402 Payment Required
