Choose this endpoint when you need fast, privacy-safe email validation that does not send any message or probe the mail server. Ideal for pre-validation at signup, lead qualification, or bulk list hygiene where deliverability signals (MX presence) and risk signals (disposable, role, free-provider) are more important than SMTP-level confirmation. Prefer this over SMTP-based verifiers when avoiding mail server contact is a requirement.
Side effects
- Malformed or empty email input returns a validation error
- DNS lookup failures or timeouts may cause inconclusive MX results
- Very new or obscure disposable domains may not yet be in the blocklist
- Free-provider or disposable lists may lag behind newly created services
- Email addresses at valid domains with no MX record will be flagged as undeliverable
