How this service works
TheirStack — Search the catalog of tracked keywords: technologies AND buying-intent topics. The slug resolver for every other theirstack filter (slugs are case-sensitive). Pass `q` (free-text search); optional `keyword_type` ("technology" = techs only), `keyword_type_not` ("technology" = intent topics only), `category_slug`, `limit` (default 25). Free upstream — always resolve slugs here before filtering jobs/companies by technology.
Output
Returns a list of matched keyword/technology entries from TheirStack's catalog, each with a case-sensitive slug, display name, keyword type (technology or intent topic), and category. These slugs are required inputs for subsequent TheirStack company or job filtering API calls.

Use this endpoint whenever you need to resolve a technology or buying-intent topic name into a valid TheirStack slug before passing it to TheirStack job or company search endpoints. It is the mandatory first step in any TheirStack filtering workflow — without valid slugs, downstream filters will fail or return incorrect results. Prefer this over guessing slugs manually, as slugs are case-sensitive and may differ from the display name.
Side effects
- No results returned if query term doesn't match any tracked keyword
- Wrong keyword_type filter returns empty set if enum value is misspelled
- Slug mismatch in downstream calls if slug is used case-insensitively
- Limit parameter ignored or defaulted to 25 if not provided
- Network timeout if TheirStack upstream is unavailable
- Payment failure if insufficient USDC balance for the $0.01 fee
