A JSON object containing the requested period label and a 'change_pct' map keyed by coin identifier (e.g. 'coingecko:bitcoin'), with the percentage price change as a decimal value (e.g. -0.06 means -6%).

Choose this endpoint when you need percentage price change over a specific time period (1h, 24h, 7d, or 4w) for one or more tokens, identified by CoinGecko ID or on-chain contract address. It is ideal for multi-token batch comparisons and supports any EVM chain via contract address, making it more flexible than single-asset endpoints. Prefer it over raw price endpoints when relative performance (delta) rather than absolute price is what matters.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized coin ID returns an error or omits the token from results
- Invalid period value (not one of 1h, 24h, 7d, 4w) may return a 400 error
- Missing 'coins' query parameter returns a 400 validation error
- Payment not completed via x402 returns a 402 Payment Required response
- Rate limits or upstream CoinGecko outages may cause 5xx errors
