How this service works
Get person information from an email address.
Output
Returns structured personal and professional profile data associated with the provided email address, including fields such as full name, job title, employer/company, social media links, and potentially location or seniority level, sourced via Tomba's person-finding API.
Example use cases
B2B lead enrichment from email
“I have a list of email addresses from our signup form — can you look up john.doe@techstartup.io and tell me their name, job title, and company so I can qualify them as a sales lead?”
Identifying unknown email sender
“I got an email from someone at contact@growthagency.com and I have no idea who they are — can you find their name and professional background from that email address?”
CRM contact data enrichment
“We have a contact in our CRM with just the email sara.johnson@enterpriseco.com — can you pull their full name, role, and company info so we can update their profile?”

Endpoint
GEThttps://x402.orthogonal.com/tomba/v1/people/find?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Choose this endpoint when you have an email address and need to identify or enrich the associated person's professional profile — name, title, company, and social links. It is ideal for B2B lead enrichment, CRM data completion, or identifying unknown email senders. Prefer it over reverse-search or domain-based lookup when you have a specific email address as your only input.
Side effects
- Email address not found in Tomba's database — returns empty or null result
- Invalid or malformed email address — returns validation error
- Email belongs to a generic/role-based address (info@, support@) with no person match
- Rate limiting or quota exceeded — returns 429 error
- Network timeout or upstream Tomba API unavailability
